For their late summer September wedding reception, Alicia and Eric reserved the Sticky Boots platinum package along with our accent ambient uplighting and ceiling wash specialty lighting. The reception was held at the elegant Windsor Park in Mishawaka, IN whose white drapery behind the head table and above the dance floor created the perfect palate for Lilac purple LED uplighting.
The couple had a unique choice of song for their Grand Entrance, as we played “’03 Bonnie and Clyde” from Jay Z and Beyonce. With a bridal party full of personality, the guests got into the hip-hop beat as each pair came into the ballroom with individual skits or dance moves to keep guests, who had traveled from as far away as Iran and the Netherlands, entertained.
The unique musical choice carried over to the Father-Daughter dance where Alicia and her father wanted to keep a very lighthearted and fun theme, fitting of their personalities. As the Mishawaka Wedding DJ, we created a custom-produced soundtrack for Alicia’s father dance starting out with a very formal Viennese waltz quickly breaking into C+C Music Factory. The guests ate it up and the rest of the bridal party quickly joined in for a full-on dance circle on the dance floor.
This highlight set the tone for the rest of night with this Mishawaka, IN wedding venue rocking for hours to Sticky Boots’ high energy mix of dance floor classics and Top 40 hits. Since the groom was Polish, Sticky even threw in a few polkas for good measure, much to the delight of the Northern, IN crowd of over 250 guests.
