We love a good legacy. So when Renee contacted us in early 2019 to see if Sticky Boots was available for her upcoming 2020 wedding, we knew right away it was going to be a great party!
Elcona Country Club in Bristol, Indiana, is a beautiful wedding venue all year long. It especially shines with the well-manicured grounds are filled with stunning fall color. Lydia and Mitch's early November wedding featured some of the most dazzling fall colors we had this year.
The start of fall in Elkhart County is beautiful. You can see the stunning shades of red, orange and yellow start to develop. Combined this with golden-pink sunsets, farmers harvesting their fields, big red barns, and winding lanes and you've got an Instagram-worthy backdrop for your wedding!
This is exactly the vibe that Karalyn and Dan wanted for the wedding ceremony and reception. This Fort Wayne-based couple found Rock Run Creek Barn online and fell in love. Why wouldn't they? It has all of those make-our-Midwestern-hearts-swell amenities, it's an 1850’s restored barn that is heated and features inside restrooms ... oh, and it's handicap accessible! Such a big WIN for these fall days where the sun in shining but isn't providing a lot of warmth!
Elcona Country Club is at the foot of the Bristol Hills and has a beautiful club house ballroom that overlooks the 18th green and 10th tee. The weather on this Saturday was exactly what you’d hope for with a wedding in early October - sunny skies, slight breeze and a temperature that wasn't too hot nor too cold.. And DANG, did this couple get the perfect combination of both!
Megan and Tony chose the Platinum entertainment package for their wedding reception based on both a recommendation from friends, and having grown up listening to Sticky Boots on the radio. Couples like that normally have a good idea of what the Sticky Boots experience is like and know how to have a good time, and as soon as we met Megan and Tony, we knew for certain this was going to be a super-fun wedding!
Just off the shores of Lake Wawasee on 27 acres of forested land in Syracuse, Oakwood Resort provides a stunning backdrop for almost any type of event. The only type of event it's not good for is one that doesn't want beautiful lake views, well-manicured grounds or a helpful staff to make sure the event goes off without a hitch. Those events may be out there, but we have yet to find one - ha!
We met Carrie and Nick via Facetime for their initial consultation. We knew that they were going to be a great couple to work with for a lot of reasons. Not only were they fun, they also became aware of The Music Place from their support and participation of the Wawasee Kiwanis Trivia Fundraiser we are a part of every year.
South Bend couple Heather and Christine were engaged back in early 2019 and knew right away they wanted something special for their upcoming 2020 wedding. Barn venues in Northern Indiana are kind of “par for the course” as they say, but the guest experience and the look from barn to barn varies widely…some properties are absolutely stunning, Instagram-perfect visions straight out of Pintrest with top-notch staff. Other are…well…not. Without question though, our favorite barn venue in St. Joseph county Indiana is St. Joe Farm, and it’s a stunner.
Sometimes, even when everything seems to be going wrong, the right people will still find a way to make everything work out. Zoe, Chris, and their families were a prime example of turning lemons into lemonade when their 300 person wedding extravaganza at one of the area’s best venues was transformed into a 21 person intimate backyard event … and it couldn’t have been more perfect!

When Goshen couple Chance and Aimee started the search for wedding venues for their July wedding, the unique setting of Blue Barn Berry Farm instantly jumped out as the perfect setting, and we were excited to provide their soundtrack!

We love all of our couples, but we especially love when our couples are also some of our co-workers! As many of you know, DJ Sticky Boots has a mix show on 92.9 U93 Radio Friday and Saturday nights, and this past weekend’s couple was none-other than Irish Dave and Christine from the U93 morning show!
Anyone who listens to the morning show knows that Christine and Dave like to have fun with listeners but most of all, they like to have fun with each other. Fun people equal fun times.
Indiana summers are beautiful, and can sometimes be a bit toasty. But, we tend to think just looking at water can have a cooling effect, so choosing a wedding venue on the shore of Lake Wawasee is a perfect choice!
For us, a perfect lakeside venue near Goshen is Oakwood Resort in Syracuse, Indiana! Great minds think alike and we love that Stephanie and PJ chose Oakwood Resort’s Hilltop Banquet space because it’s indoors (with air conditioning!) but still has a panoramic view of Lake Wawasee.
