When you’ve been together for 14 years, have four daughter’s together, and all of your friends and family stopped asking about a wedding a decade ago, a pesky worldwide pandemic from an unknown virus might be enough to make an average couple say, “You know what? I think we’re good for now.” But Amber and Michael are no average couple, and they weren’t going to let anything stand in their way on this special day. The theme of their wedding was appropriately “Finally!”, and it turned out to be an epic party for the ages!
It was a warm, but sunny June afternoon when the roughly 90 guests arrived at St. John’s Catholic Church in Goshen for a lovely ceremony and then made their way across town to the recently remodeled VFW Post 985. The Post has an ample-sized banquet room on the west side of the building which was a perfect fit for these guests, and the decorations looked terrific with the white linens, white chair covers, and red chair ribbons. Amber and Michael chose our Gold wedding package as well, which was a perfect compliment to this size of room and guest list.
Many of the guests on Amber’s side of the family had made their way from Pittsburgh PA which, for those of you who know, meant there was a “cookie table” for guests to enjoy besides the normal wedding cake. The Pittsburgh tradition of the cookie table involves many members of the family baking all sorts of cookies and treats for the wedding, which are displayed on a large table. Guests are encouraged to not only enjoy the cookies during the reception, but also take large quantities of cookies home with them. Amber provided little boxes for everyone to pack with cookies, and guests loved participating in this tradition, especially those from Indiana who had never seen it before!
After speeches and dinner, Amber and Michael did their special dances including a heartfelt Daddy-Daughter dance with Michael and all four of his little girls. Then it was an open dance floor for the rest of the evening, and my goodness, did they dance! Smaller groups are sometimes quieter and more reserved on the dance floor, but these people new how to party with a full floor of dancers for a solid 3 hours. Just how we like it! Congratulations Amber and Michael! We’re so glad you “finally” said “I do”!

What can I say about Blake and The Music Place. With all the different vendors that are required for a wedding, Blake and The Music Place were the easiest, fastest, and most knowledgeable. Blake was extremely responsive with all communications. WhT Blake was able to do at our reception was amazing! Blake was instrumental in planning the flow of our reception. Blake has the dance floor busy all night! We received massive amounts of compliments throughout the night about Blake and how he helped keep up the energy! Thank you sir for a night my Wife and I will never forget!!!
