Although we focus on events in the Michiana area, our own DJ Sticky Boots travels frequently for celebrations in other parts of the country, often including Indianapolis, so when Astrid and Sam called looking for us to be a part of their wedding day at the Country Club of Indianapolis, Sticky was happy to sign on! Astrid is from the southwest side of Indy and grew up a few blocks from the Country Club. Sam is from St. Louis and met Astrid in college at Trine University where they both played college sports. After college, they took jobs in Mishawaka, IN and became familiar with DJ Sticky Boots through his radio mix show on U93 FM.
The happy couple planned to have both their ceremony and reception in the ballroom at the Country Club of Indianapolis, with cocktails taking place in the library, while the staff at the Club flipped the room from their ceremony configuration to reception seating. Sticky Boots brought our Platinum package along with wireless mics for the ceremony and provided a wireless remote speaker in the library for cocktail music and announcements while guests enjoyed drinks and a caricature artist. Guest then returned to a completely transformed ballroom for dinner and dancing. We utilized our Dazzle uplighting package in hot pink to set the mood in the room, creating an awesome “wow-effect” as guests re-entered the ballroom.
For music, we put together a custom-produced three song medley for Sam and Astrid’s first dance immediately following their grand entrance. Toasts from friends and family followed the first dance and then a delicious plated meal. After dinner came the parent dances and tosses, then guests kept the dancefloor full for the rest of the evening. And did they party! Sam played lacrosse at Trine and Astrid played softball, so there were a large number of former team members in attendance who had a blast dancing to Sticky’s mix of new hits and old favorites along with a good measure of team traditions like “I Love Rock N Roll” and “Wagon Wheel”. This event was also our first wedding of the 2018 season, and it started off on a very high note!

My husband and I found DJ Sticky Boots by listening to U93 everyday on our way to and from work. We got married in Indianapolis, so DJ Sticky Boots had to commute a couple of hours south. He was great throughout the entire planning process on giving us updates regarding our remaining balance and asked us many questions regarding numerous details we hadn't even thought of. The uplighting he provided made the entire room come to life and he always kept the party going. Everything he did for us was absolutely perfect and our guests still talk about what a fantastic job he did. I would definitely recommend The Music Place to any couple planning a wedding in the Northern Indiana area, or even the Indianapolis area, the extra travel cost was totally worth it. We are so happy we picked The Music Place!
