Danielle and Charlie are a uniquely fun couple and kicked off our official “wedding season” in June with what we love best: a super fun ceremony and a high energy reception at one of our favorite venues…all on a Friday, no less! For their Goshen area wedding, the couple chose to utilize the entire third floor of the Old Bag Factory in Goshen, having their ceremony in the Gallery room at Bread & Chocolate with cocktails, dinner and dancing in the Ballroom Suite at the other end of the building. This is truly a perfect setup for a wedding, and as usual, our Elkhart County wedding DJ heard raves from guests who were seeing the space for the first time.
In addition to providing a high-quality compact sound system for the ceremony space complete with microphones for the officiant and readers and full coordination of all the ceremony music, we also provided extensive accent uplighting in the reception ballroom. Danielle’s father, Dan, chose to go with our “Dazzle” uplighting package in a stunning Tiffany Blue (teal/turquoise) color which looks terrific against the weathered whitewashed rustic industrial walls of at Bread & Chocolate. It’s one of our favorite colors of lighting to do, especially in that space.
The grand entrance was awesome with all of the couple’s large wedding party getting into the fun, topped off with Charlie wearing Danielle’s veil and Danielle wearing Charlie’s coat as Charlie carried her all the way into the ballroom. The guests love it! Other highlights before dancing included one of the most entertaining Best Man speeches we’ve ever heard, and a touching anniversary dance with heartfelt words from a WWII veteran speaking about his 57 years of marriage.
Music wise, Danielle and Charlie are on pretty opposite sides of the spectrum, so our Goshen wedding DJ was able to accommodate many of Charlie’s alternative taste in bands like Incubus, 311, and Sublime during cocktails and dinner while picking up Danielle’s love of Top 40 and club hits later to ignite the dance floor.
And what a dancing group it was! Typically Friday weddings tend to be a little more low-key, but this group of folks broke that mold into tiny pieces with hours of dancing, partying, and revelry, capped off by an amazing Grand Exit with the newlyweds running through a tunnel of their friends and family to the sounds of “Don’t Stop Believin’” It was truly an epic party!
