Autumn in Northern Indiana Amish Country is the most gorgeous times of year and the rustic, old farmstead setting of Amish Acres set a perfect backdrop for Danielle and Newell’s October fall wedding reception in Nappanee, Indiana.
As guests arrived from the church after the ceremony, they were treated to a pastoral harvest scene in full swing with candlemaking, a blacksmith and antique tractor hayrides rolling by as they made their way to the back of the Restaurant Barn for this small-town Indiana reception. Décor for the tables was fall themed which was a perfect complement to the open beam construction and rough sawed timbers and wood floors of the venue. Guests were also able to watch Danielle & Newell’s photos being taken in various outdoor locations near the pond and split-rail fencing through the large barn windows as they enjoyed Adult and Christian Contemporary selections for cocktails and family-style Amish dinner.
Having rural, small-town roots and a country reception setting by no means meant that this couple has rural taste in dance music however, and so they chose to go with Sticky Boots and the Platinum Wedding Package for big city sound and lighting, complete with 18” subwoofers and trussing to rock the Restaurant Barn at Amish Acres like never before. We also provided custom wedding ceremony song edits in the Sticky Studios for Danielle who needed specific timing, lengths, and volume changes for her ceremony music.
It was a non-traditional reception in terms of no large Grand Entrance, no cake cutting, no tosses and no other special songs. We encourage our couples to be unique and do things their own way, so we welcome non-traditional choices. The bride’s sole desire was to DANCE and Sticky Boots delivered with a modern, high-energy mix. We’re sure that a few of the tourist’s dining in other parts of the restaurant may have wondered what they had wandered into once dancing started later in the evening!
