Emilie and Jeremy wanted a wedding venue and an entertainment package that oozed country charm and elegance while still being FUN. One of our favorite venues, The Farmhouse Weddings in Nappanee, was a great choice for this Indiana wedding couple and so was our Sticky Boots Platinum wedding package which offers a great balance of refinement and flexibility along with raw power and fun-factor. As usual at The Farmhouse, absolutely every detail was perfect right down to the weather, which although rainy early in the day, cleared and the sun even peeked out as the outdoor Nappanee wedding ceremony began.
The 180 guests arrived at the picturesque Nappanee wedding venue in the northern Indiana Amish Country for a 4:30pm ceremony which was held completely outdoors in the garden area of the property. Our separate ceremony sound package is ideal for this scenario, and its small size helps it make it unobtrusive and blend into the setting. This rural wedding DJ provided the perfect soundtrack to their ceremony based on their unique selections and also worked closely with their pastor to assure the proper microphone position to ensure every word was heard by the guests in the outdoor space. Emilie also chose to do a very unique twist on her ceremony called the “memory box” where the pastor read a short description of each member of the bridal party as they walked down the aisle, including the bride and groom themselves, that described what made them special to Emilie and Jeremy. None of the other members of the bridal party or parents were aware of this facet of the ceremony which made the special narration even more touching.
After the garden ceremony, guests walked across the gorgeous country property up the hill to the century-old barn for dinner and dancing. A fantastic meal with local favorite Nelson’s Port-o-Pit chicken was served by Elegance in Thyme catering, following a rousing Grand Entrance expertly emceed by Sticky Boots, a traditional cake cutting, wedding toasts from the best man and matron of honor.
The evening concluded with fun on the dancefloor for popular classic and current hits from their Goshen Indiana DJ. Guests departed at 11:00pm wanting more, and that’s exactly how we like it. What a great day!
