The wait was nearly a year for Olivia & Ryan after booking us for their early September wedding ceremony and reception at Bread & Chocolate in the Old Bag Factory in Goshen, but wow, was it worth it!
After meeting each other at work and dating for a year and a half, Ryan popped the question to Olivia back in August 2019, and they started planning for a blow-out party for nearly 200 guests right away. Of course they had no idea that COVID-19 would become a “thing” the spring and summer before their wedding, but they charged on with the planning. When the big day arrived, even though the guest list had thinned a bit from out-of-area guests unable to travel, they still had a strong group of 160 make their way to the Old Bag Factory to see the big day for themselves.
The entire event was coordinated by Sarah Journay of Journay and Co. from Indianapolis, and we provided sound for the ceremony in the Gallery space of Bread & Chocolate as well as for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. Olivia looked stunning as her mother walked her down the aisle, and both her and Ryan were attended by a large wedding party of six on each side. Ryan’s father, Steve, officiated the ceremony, and although he had never done it before, he looked and sounded like a veteran with thoughtful and insightful words and inspiration to his son and new daughter-in-law.
After the ceremony and cocktails, Bread & Chocolate served up a delicious buffet meal (all property socially-distanced and served cafeteria style of course!) to the hungry guests, and both mothers as well as Maid of Honor and Best Man gave touching tributes to the couple. The cake was cut and, then DJ Sticky Boots heated up the dancefloor where guest remained for the rest of the evening.
And did they dance! In fact, any empty dance floor real estate was hard to come by the entire evening, with tons of guest interaction, including a “Love Train” led by Olivia’s mom, and even a lively Tarantella in which the Olivia’s Italian side of the family got everyone up and out of their seats. See the video below for highlights!
When the super-fun evening came to an end with a huge circle of friends and family singing “Friends in Low Places” around Olivia and Ryan, we counted the night another smashing success. Take that COVID-19!

Best dj ever!
We can not recommend Blake @ The Music Place enough! From our initial meeting with him we knew that he would be the perfect DJ for our wedding on 9/5. The day of we never felt like we had to question or verify anything, he had it all under control! He is very talented when it comes to reading the dance floor and seeing what people are responding to. He is very professional, friendly and just over all amazing to work with! Hands down hiring Blake was one of the best wedding decisions we made! We will definitely be using him for future events. Thank so much Blake for making our special day so great!
