Beautiful settings were the order of the day for Liz and Andrew and their June wedding reception on the University of Notre Dame campus. The day started with a beautiful ceremony at the Morris Estate chapel in Niles Michigan, with guests then traveling the short distance to the Morris Inn at Notre Dame for cocktails, dinner, and dancing with DJ Sticky Boots as master of ceremonies.
In addition to our Platinum wedding package for their reception, Liz and Andrew also chose our stunning Dazzle uplighting package to enhance the already beautifully renovated Morris Inn banquet facilities. We utilized nearly 20 of our modern wireless uplighting fixtures placed inconspicuously throughout the ballroom and especially accenting the white drapery behind the head table.
Guests enjoyed and open bar with cocktails in the pre-function foyer at the Morris Inn before being wowed by the blush pink uplighting inside the ballroom and a custom produced grand entrance featuring the WWE John Cena theme for the entry of the newlyweds. Following a delicious three-course plated meal along with spirited toasts from the parents and bridal party and a soundtrack of fun selections from the Vitamin String Quartet, Sticky Boots kicked off the dancing for a energetic and fun group of friends and family.
This mostly Ohio State crowd was a blast and one of the best we’ve had this summer so far! They were up for anything highlighted with some unique favorites of Andrew’s Ohio State swim team buddies. Selections of course included “Hang On Sloopy”, along with unexpected hits like “Hava Nagila” complete with dancing the hora around the bride and groom….definitely unique and fun on the Notre Dame campus! The majority of the guests stayed till the very end with a packed dancefloor all evening, and the night ended with 100+ people all singing “Carmen Ohio” in a circle around Liz and Andrew, complete with a rousing selection of other Ohio State songs sang acapella even once Sticky shut the music down. Amazing couple, super-fun guests, and a beautiful venue….It was definitely one for the record books!

Blake was one of our favorite vendors to work with. He was funny, easy to talk to, and made us feel confident the day was going to go perfectly. In fact, everytime we would hangup from our Skype session we would just look at each other, smile and talk about how lucky we were to be working with him. The day went as smooth as can be and we did not have to worry about a thing. We give Blake our seal of approval and would recommend him to every one of our friends. Thank you Blake, it was an absolute pleasure!
