We always love the opportunity to work with Lexi and her staff at the beautiful Blue Heron on South Bend’s Blackthorn Golf Course. No matter what season, the grounds always look perfect, the ballroom is stunning, and the view from their veranda is a dream for photographers and guests alike. Miranda and Nick chose this site for their early fall wedding ceremony and reception and went with our Gold wedding package featuring DJ Iceberg as their entertainer and emcee.
The ceremony itself was held outside and featured a string quartet with guests enjoying cocktails on the covered patio before moving into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. After an EDM-themed Grand Entrance, toasting, cake cutting, special dances, and a touching anniversary dance to recognize the longest married couple in attendance, the newlyweds let Iceberg do what he does best; and the dancefloor stayed full the rest of the evening.
This evening also happened to be the birthday of photographer Grace Pulver (who’s phenomenal, by the way), and so Miranda and Nick made sure Iceberg gave Grace a special surprise shout-out during the night. Grace was definitely blushing, but everyone loved it; and we think you can see from some of the pics below that Grace was definitely on her game with the gorgeous images she captured of the happy couple!
