2019 was awesome, but we are ready to kick off a new year (and a new decade!) with a bunch of great weddings ... and boy oh boy, Ruthie and David were the best couple to get it started!
Bread & Chocolate is located on the third floor of the historic Old Bag Factory, and this event space features centuries old brick, exposed beams and stunning 1896 hardwood floors that create the perfect setting for any wedding (or really, any type of event). We actually met Ruthie and David at Bread & Chocolate's annual open house and chatted about how this is one of the best venues in Goshen, Indiana. If you haven't seen this venue, check it out for yourself at the annual Bread & Chocolate Open House. This year, the event will be held on February 15 from 10am to Noon.
Ruthie and David utilized the Ballroom Suite for both their ceremony and reception, which is a great, economical choice for a smaller guest list. By choosing our Ceremony Package along with the Gold Wedding Package, this happy couple ensured they had everything they needed to have a seamless event.
After a beautiful ceremony officiated by Pastor Gerald Ferguson set to classical music from the Pride & Prejudice soundtrack, the wedding guests enjoyed an hour of mingling and cocktails. Once guests were in the ballroom, the happy couple had their fathers, Jose and Dave, give a warm welcome and then the best man, Nowlan, and the Maid of Honors, Ivy and Gracie, shared some great stories. Both dads are very well spoken (and the bridal party wasn’t too shabby either!), so guests really enjoyed hearing all the stories and memories of love and laughter, and Emily and Erin of Hey Sisters Photography got some awesome shots of Ruthie and David’s reactions to the heartfelt speeches.
After enjoying a delicious buffet meal prepared by the catering staff at Bread & Chocolate, guests were ready to dance! We kicked off dancing with an Anniversary Dance and the longest married couple was just shy of 60 years!
Ruthie and David have friends and family that filled the dance floor all night long, and if they were at all worn out from New Year’s Eve just a few days prior, they certainly didn’t show it! In fact, we can’t remember a group of only 100 guests dancing this hard, for this long in quite some time. The evening ended with a big circle of smiling faces surrounding Ruthie & David, full stomachs and tired feet. We can’t think of a better way to kick off our 2020 wedding season!

Highly recommend! An amazing experience!!
My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Blake and The Music Place. Blake was extremely professional and was accommodating to our different request. He made the process incredibly easy and stress free. Our guest had a wonderful time and we had many compliments on the selection of songs played during the event. Blake helped keep our reception moving and was perfect in every way. My wife and I would highly recommend the services of Blake and The Music Place!
