It should be stated right off the bat that Ike likes to dance…this cannot be understated, and when you have a groom (and bride too) that like to dance, you know you’re in for an epic party! Culver Cove Resort & Conference Center was the setting for this event with about 180 guests arriving for drinks, dinner, and dancing after attending a beautiful ceremony on the Culver Academy campus.
Sara and Ike’s friends and family are a blast, and it was apparent from the toasts that they were ready for a great night. A delicious plated meal was served, with cake cutting and lavish ice cream and dessert bar following, but we didn’t waste much time getting the dance floor opened. After the specially custom-edited first dance and parent dances, the floor remained packed for over three hours with our Northern Indiana wedding DJ playing a wide variety of fun party hits and new top 40 music.
Sara’s Chi Omega sorority sisters got in on the fun too with a fun dance to “Brown Eyed Girl” and then Ike’s fraternity brothers serenaded Sara with their own version of “Magic Carpet Ride”. There were plenty of other crowd-pleasing sing alongs before the night was over , and even a late night snack of pizza couldn’t persuade guest to leave the dance floor. The night ended with a huge circle of guests around Ike and Sara to “Wagon Wheel”. As parties go, they don’t get any better than this, and we were honored to be a part of Sara and Ike’s legendary celebration!

If we could give more than 5-stars for Blake and The Music Place we would! Blake worked with us from the very beginning to answer our questions and to ensure our wedding reception was exactly how we envisioned. His professionalism, knowledge of music and weddings, and fun attitude helped keep our guests entertained and dancing all night long. We received so many compliments on the music and DJ selection. Thank you, Blake, for a perfect evening we will remember for a lifetime!
