SONDRA & BRAD | SOUTH BEND, IN WEDDING RECEPTION | DJ, UPLIGHTING

October 19 was one of our most popular dates for 2013 and smart couples were rewarded by booking their South Bend wedding DJ early.  In the case of Sondra and Brad, this meant locking down the Sticky Boots Platinum wedding package over 14 months in advance along with their unique ceremony venue, the Studebaker National Museum.

The Studebaker Museum is a very unique building as the couple’s reception was held right in the lobby amidst all the historical cars and wagons from the golden age of manufacturing in South Bend.  For this one of a kind northern Indiana wedding reception, guests were able to privately enjoy the entire museum’s collection at their leisure during cocktails followed by  a tasty traditional Polish buffet from The Landing Catering.

Sticky Boots brought out the big guns for this event as well with a powerful sound system, wireless mics for toasting, and over thirty state of the art uplighting fixtures to create stunning visual decor on both floors of the lobby in ruby red upstairs and lilac purple on the main level.  All the unique features of the room worked wonderfully with the ambient wall wash, creating dramatic shadows and splashes of color, and later in the evening for dancing, computer control of the lighting made the whole room transform in color with the beat of the music.  This color-changing effect is especially dramatic for traditions like the parent dances when the room’s color can be changed for each parent.

Sticky’s expert emcee abilities set the tone for the evening from the Grand Entrance down the main staircase through toasting introductions and even the entertaining “Newlywed Game” which had guests rolling in laughter as Sondra and Brad answered questions about each other while seated back-to-back in the center of the dancefloor.    The soundtrack of the evening included contemporary light vocal selections during cocktails and dinner to traditional fun party songs and current top 40 mixing later in the evening.   There were even a couple of rousing polkas thrown in for good measure!   It was certainly a once in a lifetime evening!

Absolutely flawless before, during, and after the show! They include a lot of very helpful information and guidelines to help you plan your event. E-mails are returned very quickly and they can accomodate nearly every request.

They set up at our venue with all of the up-lights they offer and the room felt alive. The music was superbly mixed and we even had a few special requests that they pre-produced that turned out just how we had imagined. The interaction with the crowd was just enough to keep the party going and the dancefloor was packed full all night.
