New jobs brought Case Western Reserve University grads Emily & Lucas to the Michiana area after graduation, and Bread & Chocolate in the Old Bag Factory in Goshen brought their respective families together from the Northwest Indiana and Pittsburgh PA areas for this memorable wedding celebration in June. Emily and Lucas planned for us to be a part of both their ceremony and reception at Bread and Chocolate, and our Gold package with ceremony enhancement was an ideal choice for them and their 100 guests.
The ceremony took place in the Gallery, then guests moved down the hall to the Bridal Suite for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. We provided a remote speaker near the bar for cocktail music as well, which was a welcomed addition as the main ballroom doors remained closed until dinner time.
Emily also planned a few unique touches on the reception timeline which included moving directly from their Grand Entrance to the cake cutting, with one song playing for the bridal party, and another song for her and Lucas’ introduction which continued while they cut the cake. She also planned not only a father-daughter dance, but a “mother’s dance” which included Lucas dancing with his mom and Emily dancing with her mom at the same time. And finally, the couple chose to skip some of the more traditional milestones like the bouquet and garter tosses, which we are finding to be less and less popular this year.
Erin and Emily from Hey Sister’s Photography captured the moments from the day and Blake handled the music and emcee duties as guests celebrated until 10:30pm. It was a terrific day, and we were so honored to have been a part of it!

Really great wedding DJ
The Music Place was an awesome choice for our wedding DJ! From the beginning, we felt comfortable working with Blake – he has a lot of experience and was very easy to work with. He helped us make the right song choices for events and made sure our timeline made sense. Blake worked with us to understand the type of artists/genres we were interested in, and he did an excellent job of working those in throughout our wedding night. Guests gave us a bunch of compliments on the music!
Throughout our big day, Blake checked in with us before announcing events like the first dance. He managed the schedule really well so we could enjoy our day with a little less stress. Blake had it covered!
We definitely recommend Blake and The Music Place for your wedding!!!
