For their casual fall reception, Erik was looking for a DJ that was easy to work with and who understood their unique style. He was also planning the event from out of state, so he needed an entertainment company with the flexibility to plan a successful event without ever actually meeting in-person. Erik and Holly had chosen the historic Amish Acres for their Elkhart County wedding reception venue and the rustic charm of the upstairs level was the perfect size for their smaller group of 110 guests.
Guests partied and thoroughly enjoyed themselves with their Nappanee, IN wedding DJ and our Standard wedding package with a great mix of classic rock and country music, plus some fun Jimmy Buffett style festival songs thrown in for good measure. Another unique idea the couple utilized was a “donut cutting” ceremony as an alternative to the traditional cake cutting. Both Erik and Holly loved the world famous Rise-n-Roll donuts, with locations in Middlebury, IN and Nappanee, IN. Instead of a wedding cake, they supplied their guests with hundreds of Rise-N-Roll authentic Amish-made donuts. We LOVE couples who put their signature style on wedding traditions, and so announcing the “donut cutting” was right up our alley. The night was capped off with a rousing sing along for “The Green Grass Grows All Around” by the Mighty Blue Kings which was a favorite tradition of Erik and his friends. What a blast!
