Country charm and country music were the order of the day for Idalia and Travis’ wedding celebration on a warm July afternoon in Nappanee at The Farmhouse Weddings. We love working at the Farmhouse which is truly one of the most unique locations in Elkhart County, and this is one of the first events we’ve been a part of there that was full-on country in every aspect, right down to the bridesmaids and bride’s mother in cowboy boots!
After an initial bad experience with another part-time DJ company, Idalia found us at the recommendation of Deb at the Farmhouse and booked our Standard wedding package. She also added our Ceremony package for coverage in the Pavilion at the Farmhouse and an extra hour of time to extend the four hours that the Standard DJ package provides.
Our Nappanee area wedding DJ set up in two locations on the property, both in the Pavilion for the ceremony and up in the loft in the main Barn for the cocktails, dinner, and reception. Guests enjoyed acoustic prelude music before the start of ceremony, which was short and sweet, lasting about 10 minutes, and then stepped outside to see Idalia and Travis leave the property in a picture perfect Amish pony cart for photos while friends and family enjoyed cocktails in the barn.
Upon their return, the newlyweds assembled outside the barn with their bridal party to be introduced for the grand entrance, expertly emceed by their Elkhart county wedding deejay. The cake was cut and touching toasts followed the entrance before dinner was served buffet style by Mad Anthony’s catering while the northern Indiana barn DJ played a light selection of red-dirt country music favorites.
After dinner guests danced the night away to a mix of country and western and classic rock favorites, expertly mixed by their Goshen area country wedding DJ, and were even treated to a several upbeat salsa and meringue selections provided by Idalia’s family and friends from Puerto Rico. The international Puerto Rican flavor was a unique twist on a wonderful evening of celebration and yet another successful event at Farmhouse weddings!
