KAITLYN AND TIM’S POSTPONED COVID RECEPTION IN GOSHEN | DJ, REMOTE SPEAKER

Let’s be clear right from the start, the global Coronavirus pandemic hasn’t been easy on anyone.  Not parents, not senior citizens, not health care workers, not civic leaders, not DJs, and certainly not engaged couples.   Many couples have had to pivot more than once, adjust their expectations for their big day, and many like in the case of Kaitlyn and Tim, have had to postpone their celebrations completely.

This wedding was originally set to take place on May 2, but of course COVID had something to say about that.   Luckily Kaitlyn and Tim were able to still do their ceremony at their church on that day with only immediate family, but utilized a top-notch videographer to capture the moment perfectly.   They were able to postpone all their other vendors to a new date at the end of August, and luckily everything came together perfectly for the celebration!

Kaitlyn is another one of our favorite types of brides:  the legacy.  Sticky Boots did her sister Mindi’s wedding back in 2017, and Kaitlyn was also a guest at another wedding Sticky did for friends Anastacia and Zach also that year.   When it came time for her wedding, Kaitlyn knew one thing for certain – Sticky Boots would be there!

Although the ceremony was also originally scheduled in the vintage industrial elegance of Bread & Chocolate’s Gallery in Goshen, guests were still able to enjoy the entire Ballroom Suite, first for cocktails utilizing our remote speaker option so everyone could hear music and announcements, and then into the ballroom itself for dinner and dancing.   Sticky Boots emceed a lively grand entrance, and then the mic was given to Tim for a warm welcome and introduction of their 10-minute wedding ceremony video.  More than a few tears were shed as guests watched the video and relived the ceremony from May.  It was a beautiful moment and one of the best executed wedding videos we’ve seen done at a reception!

Later guests filled the dance floor and had a blast rocking out with the newlyweds before the early evening drew to a close around 8:00pm.   It was so fun to see a lot of familiar faces from previous weddings there and to celebrate with them once again.    And who knows….maybe these families still have a few more parties left in them!  If so, we can’t wait to be there!

Fun and Professional

We absolutely loved working with Blake. He was so professional and informative, and he made the process so easy. His communication was AMAZING so I never felt out of the loop or unsure what was going on in regards to planning and what to expect. Besides that, he's a great DJ! We had so much fun at our reception. I loved the music he played, and it perfectly set the vibe we wanted at our wedding. 100% recommend!!

Blake is the absolute best! If you want a DJ who is professional, communicative, fun, always on top of things, you can't go wrong with The Music Place. I've been to 3 weddings he has DJ'ed (including my own) and they were all amazing. Hands down the only DJ I would recommend. Check them out. You won't regret it.
