This particular private academy prep school doesn’t have a “prom” per se, but does host an elegant senior dinner dance for its upcoming graduates. This year’s event was held at the luxurious Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, Indiana. Members of the senior class dressed to the nine’s and were bused from campus to the formal venue, where our Northwest Indiana prom DJ was set up with a powerful sound system and room full of computer-controlled wireless LED uplights, ready to rock with a mix of house, EDM, international and top 40 hits the instant the 200 kids hit the door.
After a brief social hour, students enjoyed a full buffet complete with dessert selections before Porter County school dance DJ, Sticky Boots, unleashed the bass from his turntables and whipped the crowd into a frenzy. Halfway through the event, students took a break for the awarding of Senior Superlatives with such distinctions as “Best Dressed”, “Most Likely to Become President”, and “Most Likely to Marry Someone Twice Their Age”. The awards program culminated with the naming of a senior class Jester, Prince, Princess, King, and Queen.
