SARAH & PETER | NOTRE DAME WEDDING RECEPTION | DJ

Sarah and Peter, St. Mary’s and Notre Dame grads from New Jersey, came back to South Bend to have their Indiana outdoor wedding reception at the Morris Inn on the Notre Dame campus.  Being both long time fans of DJ Sticky Boots’ radio shows, they chose to go with the Platinum package for their July wedding, and the tent behind the Inn was spectacular setting for the enhanced sound and lighting options offered with this package.

After attending the dramatic ceremony in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in the heart of the ND campus, guests walked through the park-like setting to the Morris Inn where they enjoyed cocktails outside behind the Inn adjacent to the tent as their St. Mary’s-Notre Dame wedding DJ, Sticky Boots,  played an eclectic mix of modern and alternative music selections fitting the bride and groom’s tastes.

With the completion of cocktail hour, guests were seated in the tent for the Grand Entrance of Sarah and Peter and their bridal party, followed by toast and a welcome from Sarah’s father.  An exquisite plated dinner was then served as guests enjoyed Rat-Pack style music selections.  Later in the evening guests also celebrated Peter’s parent’s anniversary as well as Sarah’s sister’s birthday, both of which happened to be on the wedding date.

Although South Bend wedding DJ Sticky Boots kept the majority of the dance music extremely fresh and modern at the couple’s request for a nightclub-style atmosphere, the first dance was extremely moving with Sarah and Peter dancing a ballroom tango as their first dance together as man and wife.   The routine was so involved that Sarah actually changed into a second wedding dress to allow her to move more freely during the dance.   Master photographers Katie and Chris Whitcomb captured these magical moments among many others throughout the evening,  and you can see several of their amazing images in the gallery below.

At the end of the evening, guests hustled to the edge of the tent for the newlywed’s Grand Exit and formed a tunnel with glowsticks for them to run through on the way out of the Morris Inn.   Such an incredible evening!
