ALYSSA & PEYTON'S 1850’S RESTORED BARN DREAM WEDDING | DJ, CEREMONY

When you live in the Midwest, we tend to take our big red barns, farming fields and winding roads for granted and guess what ... Elkhart County, Indiana is filled with these scenic vistas! People from all over the country visit this area for our rich Amish culture (and those delicious Amish meals).

Rock Run Creek Barn has all of those make-our-Midwestern-hearts-swell amenities, it's an 1850’s restored barn after all! But it's also air conditioned in the summer, heated in the winter and features inside restrooms ... oh, and it's handicap accessible! Such a big WIN!

Alyssa and Peyton dreamed about a family-oriented wedding ceremony and reception. They wanted their friends and family to be able to clearly hear them say their vows. They wanted their guests to be comfortable (because, lets face it, summer in Indiana can get a bit toasty sometimes) and they wanted Pinterest-worthy photos to keep forever.

Dream and you shall receive! By choosing a venue where both the ceremony and reception are held in the same location, we were able to provide ceremony coverage without additional cost which means guests were able to clearly hear Alyssa and Peyton's beautiful vows. By choosing an air-conditioned venue, guests were comfortable and by choosing Cortney Spencer Photography, this happy couple has a ton of images to be able to reflect on the day for years to come!

Their dreams of a casual, conservative wedding reception was also captured by choosing our Essential wedding package. Alyssa and Peyton really knew their guests and chose the Essential package because 4-hours of music coverage was perfect for the amount of entertainment they wanted to have. As you can see from the song choices below, their musical vision for the celebration was heavy on coffee-house modern folk/indie vibes, with more of focus on conversation and fellowship than dancing, so we constructed a soundtrack to reflect that sound.

Alyssa and Peyton also wanted to have some interactive fun and opted to play The Shoe Game in which each answered questions from DJ Iceberg about their habits, likes, and dislikes. Guests roared with laughter as each raised their respective shoes, sometimes in agreement, and even better, sometimes not. It was a hit, and a great way to bring to add some lighthearted fun after dinner. Besides the game, Alyssa and Peyton also wanted to have sometime to personally interact with their friends and family outside of visiting tables during dinner and chose to do a dollar dance.

This newlywed couple knew they'd be having a long day and planned an early end to the evening. This worked perfectly because the guests had fun, but didn't fizzle out, and beautiful summer evening wrapped up on the perfect note.
