We're a proud Goshen-based company, and we love being able to work with other Goshen vendors. One of our favorite groups of people are the ones that work at Bread & Chocolate.
Bread & Chocolate is located on the third-floor of the historic Old Bag Factory, and this event space features centuries old brick, exposed beams and stunning 1896 hardwood floors that create the perfect setting for any wedding (or really, any type of event). The addition of our Splash uplighting package for this event in a warm, candlelight yellow really set off the whitewashed brick and beamed ceilings and is a perfect way to highlight and unique space.
This is exactly what Lynn and Tim were wanting for their wedding day. Really, who doesn't? These Pintrest-worthy venues like Bread & Chocolate are classical, yet so trendy!
Lynn and Tim are, according to their own children, a bit technologically-challenged. This becomes important (and hysterical!) because of the way they met. Or should we say, re-met! Lynn and Tim first met in grade school and even went to the junior prom together, but apparently that prom date didn't go so hot because they lost touch with each other soon after. Fast forward to the age of social media when Lynn finally decided to get a Facebook profile (after a bit of help from her kids) and BOOM Tim friend-requested her! Jury is still out on if it was a random connection or if Tim had been searching for her.
Lynn has a stunningly beautiful collection of fine china and each place setting for this 150-person reception had a plate. This was an incredible way to personalize the decor for her reception at Bread & Chocolate. For you fine china collectors, don't worry - the plates were safely put away prior to guests heading to the buffet.
After a delicious dinner provided by Bread & Chocolate Catering, this close group of family and friends celebrated marriage with an Anniversary Dance. The longest married couple have been married for 63 years (yes - 6-3!!!) and had excellent words of wisdom: communicate with each other, treat each other with respect and love each other.
We've mentioned this was a fun group of family and friends, and holy cow were they a dancing group too! We danced for over two hours solid ... and never resorted to a line dance of any sort. Sorry Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle - we didn't need ya!
The party ended perfectly with “To Make You Feel My Love” sung by one of Lynn's favorite artists, Garth Brooks.
There ain't nothin' that I wouldn't do,
go to the ends of the earth for you,
make you happy, make your dreams come true-
to make you feel my love
