We love a good legacy. So when Renee contacted us in early 2019 to see if Sticky Boots was available for her upcoming 2020 wedding, we knew right away it was going to be a great party!
Elcona Country Club in Bristol, Indiana, is a beautiful wedding venue all year long. It especially shines with the well-manicured grounds are filled with stunning fall color. Lydia and Mitch's early November wedding featured some of the most dazzling fall colors we had this year.
The start of fall in Elkhart County is beautiful. You can see the stunning shades of red, orange and yellow start to develop. Combined this with golden-pink sunsets, farmers harvesting their fields, big red barns, and winding lanes and you've got an Instagram-worthy backdrop for your wedding!
This is exactly the vibe that Karalyn and Dan wanted for the wedding ceremony and reception. This Fort Wayne-based couple found Rock Run Creek Barn online and fell in love. Why wouldn't they? It has all of those make-our-Midwestern-hearts-swell amenities, it's an 1850’s restored barn that is heated and features inside restrooms ... oh, and it's handicap accessible! Such a big WIN for these fall days where the sun in shining but isn't providing a lot of warmth!
Elcona Country Club is at the foot of the Bristol Hills and has a beautiful club house ballroom that overlooks the 18th green and 10th tee. The weather on this Saturday was exactly what you’d hope for with a wedding in early October - sunny skies, slight breeze and a temperature that wasn't too hot nor too cold.. And DANG, did this couple get the perfect combination of both!
Megan and Tony chose the Platinum entertainment package for their wedding reception based on both a recommendation from friends, and having grown up listening to Sticky Boots on the radio. Couples like that normally have a good idea of what the Sticky Boots experience is like and know how to have a good time, and as soon as we met Megan and Tony, we knew for certain this was going to be a super-fun wedding!
Just off the shores of Lake Wawasee on 27 acres of forested land in Syracuse, Oakwood Resort provides a stunning backdrop for almost any type of event. The only type of event it's not good for is one that doesn't want beautiful lake views, well-manicured grounds or a helpful staff to make sure the event goes off without a hitch. Those events may be out there, but we have yet to find one - ha!
We met Carrie and Nick via Facetime for their initial consultation. We knew that they were going to be a great couple to work with for a lot of reasons. Bread & Chocolate is located on this third-floor of the historic Old Bag Factory and this event space features centuries old brick, exposed beams and 1896 hardwood floors that are stunning and create the perfect setting for any wedding (or really, any type of event).

In South Bend, Indiana, The Brick has all these features and so (so!) much more. Located between the YMCA and the Farmer's Market on Northside Boulevard, this 5,000 square foot venue has a totally open floor plan, an outdoor patio, and an art-deco bar. So cool! The bonus: this was exactly what Katie and Philip were looking for!

Big red barns are kind of a staple for Indiana landscapes and Meadow Brook Barn is no exception. This farmstead in Goshen, Indiana, is well known for hosting community fairs in the early 1900’s, making its mark in Indiana’s listing of historical places.
The best part of this beautiful venue is it's filled with unique rustic spaces, magnificent views, and whimsical flowers ... which is exactly what Amanda and Adam wanted for their wedding ceremony and reception.
This Bristol-based couple also wanted a fun, lighthearted evening where people felt comfortable dancing the night away but were a bit concerned that their guests wouldn't leave the comfort of their chairs (because lets face it, summer heat combined with air conditioning and a soft chair can be a tiny slice of heaven). Indiana summers are beautiful, and can sometimes be a bit toasty. But, we tend to think just looking at water can have a cooling effect, so choosing a wedding venue on the shore of Lake Wawasee is a perfect choice!
For us, a perfect lakeside venue near Goshen is Oakwood Resort in Syracuse, Indiana! Great minds think alike and we love that Stephanie and PJ chose Oakwood Resort’s Hilltop Banquet space because it’s indoors (with air conditioning!) but still has a panoramic view of Lake Wawasee.
Barn weddings, surrounded by farm fields and rustic granary are so Pinterest-worthy and here in Elkhart County we have some absolutely beautiful barn venues to choose from!
One of our favorites is Meadow Brook Barn in Goshen, Indiana, and we were thrilled when Gina and Aaron selected this venue (and, lets be honest, we were thrilled they selected DJ Sticky Boots and our Platinum wedding package to be a part of their big day, too!).

New jobs brought Case Western Reserve University grads Emily & Lucas to the Michiana area after graduation, and Bread & Chocolate in the Old Bag Factory in Goshen brought their respective families together from the Northwest Indiana and Pittsburgh PA areas for this memorable wedding celebration in June.

The Blue Heron at Blackthorn is one of those gems located in South Bend, Indiana. This venue is perfect because it’s just minutes from downtown South Bend and the South Bend International Airport which is perfect for your guests who are flying in for your big day! But one of the most perfect features is the colonial cape cod building itself that has an airy country club ambiance with vistas overlooking some of the prettiest golf holes in northern Indiana.
